Budget 2021: update on our bid

You may have seen that the government announced that some towns have had their Town Deal investment plan applications approved. This list consists of 45 of the 101 Towns Fund areas who have had their funding confirmed as part of Budget, announced by the Chancellor on Wednesday 3 March 2021. This was announced in the budget earlier this week. Most of these towns submitted their applications last year.

There were three different cohorts each with a different submission deadline. Hastings, like many other towns that submitted their Investment plans in January, is waiting to hear whether it’s been successful and how much funding we've been allocated. We will make an announcement on the #HastingsTownDeal channels and this blog as soon as we hear.
