Southern Water visits Hastings Town Centre with Hastings Town Deal Programme Team
On Friday 29 November, Southern Water visited Hastings town centre to hear about plans for the Town Deal Hastings Public Realm and Green Connections project and discuss their recently announced multi-million-pound investment plan for Hastings.
Cllr Julia Hilton, Leader of Hastings Borough Council, and the Town Deal Programme Team, hosted a town centre walkaround. Along with colleagues from East Sussex County Council, they visited the Public Realm and Green Connections project area and other key sites in the town.
Southern Water recently announced their multi-million-pound investment plan for Hastings, aiming to reduce flood risk in the town, improving the resilience of the water supply network and management of wastewater in the town. This was a good opportunity for the programme team to highlight the improvements planned for the Public Realm project, and for all attendees to discuss joint working approaches which could offer the maximum benefit for the scheme, the town and residents.
